It has taken me a few months to share about our amazing family trip to Beaches, Turks and Caicos.
Our experience begins here: We love to island hop; and have never had the desire to visit the same island twice….until we spent time at Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos.
The Airport Experience: Be sure to bring a pen to write with while traveling to Providenciales (PLS). This will save you time, and you will be a lifesaver for someone who didn’t bring their pen.
NOTE (I learned my lesson) you cannot use a camera or record when you arrive in Providenciales. They will make you delete your footage.
Once inside of the airport, the regular line took about 45 minutes, but the Fast Track line was quick….about 15 minutes or less. After checking in through immigration and customs, we were transported to the Beaches Turks and Caicos departure line.
This airport does not have a lounge for guests. This differs from our experiences with Beaches in Jamaica and Sandals around the Caribbean. Nevertheless, the wait for our car service was short. From the airport to the resort is about a 15-minute drive.
The Resort Experience: The resort is HUGE with four major sections: Key West Village, Italian Village, Caribbean Village, and French Village. The Family Suites are the way to go for families of 4 or more individuals. The suites offer various sleeping options that kids 10 and under would enjoy.
Our room came with concierge-level service, which was perfect because we were able to book onsite activities upon arrival.
The Butler level rooms provide an extra layer of assistance. The butler can assist you in person while on the sandy beach or as a nighttime escort to dinner. We have vowed to try the Butler Service when we return to Beaches Turks and Caicos.
The beach was MAGICAL. There are not enough words to explain the beauty of the Turks and Caicos water. Beaches Resort has tons of beaching seating options available for their guest. We never felt like we didn’t have a place to sit and enjoy the sound of the baby blue ocean. As with every sunny destination, the kids will play all day at the beach and in the sand, if we allowed them. Through the pictures, I will attempt to share the beauty of our experience.
There are so many activities for the kids and adults to experience. Kris took part in the Sesame Street night parade. KD and KJ enjoy the food at the street party and the Xbox Game Lounge. A few other things we did while at the resort: snorkeled (KJ and Brittany’s fav), set sail on a Hobie cat (KD’s fav) with Captain Wawa, grabbed a volleyball and basketball from the activities hut and played a few games with other guests, hung out in the kids’ game room, and enjoyed the waterpark that included waterslides and a surf simulation (Kris’s fav). THERE is so much to do at this resort, there is never a dull moment.
We are foodies, so I decided to share the best part of our stay NOW.
On a couple of nights, the kids went to the Kids’ Camp, which allowed us time to enjoy the romantic vibe of the resort and adult meals.
Everyone’s Favorite Food Spot:
KD: At Le Petit Chateau, you must remember to wear your resort evening attire…or you will be asked to change. THIS was a favorite for us both, but KD truly enjoyed the experience. He loved the service of our wait staff and the lobster that was cooked to perfection.
Brittany: Mr. Mack food truck was great for our day at the waterpark. I didn’t realize there were so many ways to mix and match mac and cheese. The convenience of this spot and Bobby D’s were all I needed to relax while the kids enjoyed the water.
Kris: Kimonos was the place to go for Teppanyaki cooking (hibachi). The entertainment was fun and exciting. However, you have to make a reservation. This was an easy task since we had our concierge make reservations.
KJ: The Jerk Shack included jerk chicken and jerk fish. The jerk sauce was a perfect spice mix.
